UK drone rules: what you need to know
Under UK regulations, anyone flying a drone weighing 100g or more outdoors needs a Flyer ID, obtained free via the CAA online theory test. Drones weighing 100g or more equipped with a camera also require an Operator ID. New models carry a UK class mark (UK0 to UK6) detailing operational requirements.
