2Confirm your air conditioner

British Gas then takes over. They’ll call you within two working days of placing your order to:

Make sure you’ve chosen the right air conditioning unit for your home and recommend a more suitable one if you haven’t.

Check if any extra work is necessary through a home survey.

Confirm your price, take any extra payment and arrange your installation appointment. You can cancel for a full refund if you don’t accept any price changes.

3Install your air conditioner

A trusted British Gas partner engineer will come to install your aircon within 43 working days of your confirmation call.

If they spot any extra work is necessary, they'll let you know how much it'll cost before starting. If you don't accept, you can still cancel for a full refund.

4Activate your warranty

Your 5-year warranty starts as soon as your aircon's installed.

To keep your warranty active, your aircon must have a yearly, chargeable service. This can be arranged through British Gas.

British Gas will contact you to check your details, confirm the cost and book your installation. If more work's needed, you'll get a new quote, or you can cancel for a full refund.

It includes delivery, materials and standard single split system installation by British Gas trusted partners.

Due to unprecedented demand, lead times have been extended. Estimated installation for 90% of UK postcodes (excluding NI) is now 45 days from order date, not the 3 - 5 days stated below.

Your exact installation date will be confirmed once British Gas has completed your confirmation call.

Please note: British Gas will contact you directly by phone/email to complete the neccessary checks and book your installation.

Delivering large items

If you're getting a large item delivered to a room or flat above the first floor of your home or block, our team will only be able to decide if they can safely deliver it when they arrive.
You can let us know at the checkout for any limitations (e.g. no lift, nearest parking) you may have.

Our FREE order & collect service

You can now order your small item(s) online, and safely collect them from your chosen store within the date of your selected delivery option.

Once you’ve selected “collect in store” at the online checkout, we’ll email you your confirmation & collection details. When you do come to collect your item(s) make sure you bring this confirmation email, and the last four digits of your payment/gift card or voucher.

Returns and refunds

If you purchased online and you have changed your mind you can return your items within 30 days even if you have opened it for inspection. It must be returned as new and where possible, in its original packaging.

If your item develops a fault we will offer either a repair, exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of purchase (or delivery or installation). If the fault with your product occurs within its guarantee period (normally 12 months from delivery) we will offer you a prompt repair service. In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault.

Small items

Small item returns or refunds can be processed via stores, by contacting us or website. Items must be returned as new and where possible, in its original packaging.

Large items
